Rayne Lynn Matthewa
April 12,2009 Rayne Lynn Matthews was blessed by her grandfather, Brian B Davis. Those present were: Great grandparents Elmo and Reta Davis, David Hirschi, Grandparents Brian and JoLynn Davis, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins Roger and Rae Ann Hall,Rebecca, Mike and Barbara Hirschi, Bill and Denese Hirschi, Amanda Whetton, Mike and Angie Birch, and fmily,Christy and John Hansen,Cody,Dyllan,and Alyssa. Those who stood in the prayer circle were: Elmo Davis,David Hirschi,John Hansen,Mike Birch,Roger Hall,Mike Hirschi,Brian Davis,Kenny Phillips,and Bishop Lynn. Brian gave her a nice blessing, blessing her with the ability to overcome the evils of the world and to help her parents.
Afterwards we had a luncheon at our house and Ken and Deanna Matthews came and Taelon and Melissa Hirschi and Brilee and Gus, Dusty and Maria Hirschi and Taylor. Rebecca furnished a pinata and I believe fun was had by all.
Nathan looked nice in his red shirt and tie and black dress pants which he says he will probably never wear again, but I think he liked them. Jeannie had on her new blue with white polka dots dress and they both looked spiffy.
It was a little scarry for a while because they forgot to get up and were late and Brian had to go get them, although they were almost ready when he got there, so instead of having the blessing befor the sacrament we had it after the sacrament and it was good, except grandma was very apprehensive. Thank you Heavenly Father for once again answering prayers. It was a special day.

Family Reunion
The family reunion is coming up on the 20 June. We are having a reunion marathon. We will be walking or running around the block on saturday morning so get prepared. If you don't feel like you can do the walk or run we will need lots of help with lead cars and behind cars and water and first aid and encouragment etc. There are lots of other activities to be planned also, so pass it on in your blogs and let everyone know that it is the 20th of June, at Kilgore or Bust. Blessings
Sometimes, like tonight when my body hurts and my mind aches and I can't sleep, it is easy to forget all of the blessings that the Lord gives me. I can't number my blessings because they are so numerous. The Lord has truly had His hand in my life. If ever I need comfort it is there. When I do things wrong, which is frequently, He forgives. When I need comfort there is peace. So why am I struggling so tonight?
Why does my heart cry for relief because I feel so inadequate, and I can't do all and be all to all people? With all the beauty of the world there are still times of distress and grief and fortunately they are few and far between. I will focus on the beautiful things of this world and count my many blessings of family and friends. Love you all.

Rayne
Rayne weighs 8 lbs and 6 oz now, she is fitting into all those cute little clothes that were too big for her. Today she smiled at me twice, it made my heart jump.
Did I ever say thank you to all those who gave Jeanie the shower and came and gave presents or did any of the before mentioned or were just kind enough to care, we love you. Reunion time coming up pass it on it is the week end of Father's Day like maybe the 19th trough the 21st I will check on the date for sure. Love you all and thaks for your comments.

Harriet Louise Berrett Hymas
Aunt Louise passed away on the 29th of December 2008. On the 2nd of January was her funeral. She had been living with Rob and Peggy Hymas for about 6 months. They were so good to her. She was a neat lady and a wonderful example as a mother and grandmother. At one time she was in the Homestead Assisted Living for respite care while Rob and Peggy had a vacation, and when I walked in the door she looked at me and smiled and said we are family, who are you? I put my arm around her and said you bet we are family. She was a great lady who always had a smile. A bit of trivia that might be interesting. Her grandfather blessed her and her name was only Louise Berrett, but when he blessed her he named her Harriet Louise Berrett after her mother.
I bet mom and Katherine and Louise are having such a great time getting caught up on everything that they had to take them to a room and shut them in so others could have some peace and quiet.
